But seriously. People power. When we look around today, bike paths and lanes and riders seem to be all around us. And let’s not stop there, because it’s not just bicycles- we have accomplished scooters and board riders, wheelchair racers, mono-bikes. Beyond joggers and power walkers, we’ve got wheelchair users, electric-assisted bikes, battery-powered skateboards, powered scooters, plus more to come.
Because many cities have added bike paths freeing up a healthier way for us to get there. Not to mention the funding to fix sidewalks and add proper curb cuts. Some commuters like combining their options, riding and boarding public transit. Any method of shared transport is a help. In the end we can all breathe easier and it’s good for ‘Mother Nature.’

So in the end, we can ask ourselves: “Do I want to live healthier in a cleaner world?” Because it’s not just that a transit pass saves you money and reduces congestion and pollution. And for those of us fortunate to have access to paved paths and trails, whether you commute this way or enjoy them on weekends and after hours, the result is the same: a better, healthier you and a cleaner, healthier community for all.
So maybe turning over a new leaf comes through people power? And then asking our politicians to vote for paths and sidewalks with curb cuts and bike lanes to benefit everyone? Can we grow clean to become the heart and lungs of the nation? Because in the end it may come down to thinking about life in our communities like this: ‘Bike today, save for tomorrow.’

I love riding the city bike paths. I wish we could get more bike lanes approved in the downtown area for riders. Great post! Thanks.
Thanks for the thumbs up Sam! Odften it helps to petition the local city or town council and get the idea on their radar for future plans.
