And then what about the filmmakers, authors, artists, historians, actors, teachers, archaeologists & other creative spirits? And the visions they bring to life? Especially when they’re helping us grow and:
- Connecting us
- Fostering hope and compassion
- Shining a spotlight
- Drawing insights for our well-being
- Unearthing the past that informs our present

In any case, why is it important to understand our viewing past? With all we have going on now, what is it about the “old” TV? Does life need to seem “rich” only via things and spectacles? Eventually do “Reality” shows- once novelty wears off, feel not so “real?” Do character development and plot lines seem stale or false- like taped applause? Just one more something to kind of ignore while you’re checking something else?

Understanding, acceptance & Compassion
What is it about the qualities of understanding, acceptance & compassion? What about joy? And passion? When viewing choices are technologically simple and easy to make, can we assume that we won’t exercise the same level of care in connecting? Because we have all these choices but in the end, is what we really want, “genuine?”
Because our quality of life is influenced by the choices we make. And connecting is showing up and learning how to be on the same page. So what is the meaning of “leaning towards the light?” Does it mean emphasizing love and caring over degrading spectacle? Meanwhile, how do we celebrate tolerance, inclusion & multiculturalism?

Ultimately, will this help us change our viewing habits? Because this is our time: New visions, new sources. So will we share it and stream it?
