But meanwhile, is life rich without ‘things’ and ‘spectacles?’ “Reality” shows- in case we didn’t have enough “reality?” Does “leaning to the light” mean expressing love and sharing beyond fear and greed? Can we embrace the notion of “all boats rising” without a scarcity mindset of winner takes all? Can we “think” our way out of challenges without actions?
So how is this relevant? Well, our viewing choices- in the end- do help define us. But TV has been transformed by film-quality ‘made-for-TV’ series like Breaking Bad, Orange Is the New Black, Downton Abbey on PBS, & more. And there’s so much more.
Many filmmakers, historians, authors, artists, archaeologists & guides are dedicated to: connecting lives, building hope and communities of compassion, shining a spotlight on the past to inform us in the present, and helping bring insights essential for our collective well-being into the future.

Maybe connecting is showing up together and learning how to be on the same page. Less for-profit TV? Cut the cable? Now we just stream it?
